The Story Behind Piskadó
Piskadó was founded by two friends from the island of Curaçao who grew up fishing and spearfishing in the Caribbean waters. Fishing has always been a big part of our lives and our culture.
After spending years on the water, we noticed something important: on our island it can be difficult and expensive to get quality fishing gear. Many fishermen and spearfishers either have to order equipment from abroad or settle for gear that doesn't always meet the demands of our ocean.
Because of this, we decided to create our own brand. Piskadó — which means "fisherman" — was born from our passion for the sea and our community. Our goal is simple: to provide quality fishing gear and clothing that is accessible and affordable for everyone.
We want to build a brand that represents the spirit of island fishermen — hardworking, adventurous, and connected to the ocean. Piskadó is more than just a brand. It's a lifestyle built around the water.
